Man, feels so good to be outside! On a beautiful sunny day, strolling around the city, enjoying dem empty streets. I felt like Will Smith from I Am Legend (minus zombies). That's when I noticed Quists Coffee.
I've definitely walked past it before. Its tranquil rustic vibe always caught my eye. And if you know me, I am a sucker for rustic ghetto vibe. Nothing flashy nor trendy - just kept it simple and classic. Giving off that "we do COFFEE the right way. None of that insta-worthy brunch pic nonsense" vibe. It had a small line of locals waiting outside so you know it's legit. I grabbed their latte and it was proper. Thick but kept it silky smooth. Delicious - definitely worth. Also, I later on found out Quists Coffee's been around since 1938.. Bruh. Classic never dies.

I happen to come into Melbourne and stumbled across Quist by accident. It was coffee time and today wanted to try it with soy milk due to a little reaction to cows milk recently. The coffee was great and couldn't sit and drink as this place has not seating - totally takeaway. You can actually buy your coffee beans from them as well which is nice if you enjoy what they have on offer. The look of the place is fun and interesting, something from a century ago. There is also a small retail part to this place where you can pick up an eclectic tea / coffee item for that someone special.
Staff are very helpful and seem to know many of their regulars by name. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/stroller accessible. Reasonable parking. Dietaries catered for. Takeaway food available.
Always nice being greeted first thing in the morning by friendly faces. The place had a nice little buzz to it and feels like an authentic coffee bar right out of Rome. Coffee was pretty good so I will be back
